Cllr Mary Wright
Boston Borough Council
Municipal Buildings
West Street
PE21 8QR

Dear Cllr Wright

We note that a Joint Advisory Committee (JAC) is in operation for Lincoln comprised of Cllrs from Lincolnshire County Council, City of Lincoln, North Kesteven, West Lindsey Councils, together with representatives from EMDA and the Environment Agency.

This Committee discusses a wide range of issues but most importantly the raising of funds for the Lincoln area. The Lincoln bypasses come high on the Agenda.

A letter has recently been sent to Cllr Martin Hill asking if a JAC could be set up for Boston but we have not yet had the courtesy of a reply.

However, the most disconcerting aspect that can be seen from this JAC is that Cllr William Webb is Chairman. This does not bode well for an impartial view on Highways considering his position on the Executive of Lincolnshire County Council.

No doubt if you are not aware of this situation you will bring it to the attention of Boston Borough Council at your earliest opportunity.

Yours sincerely

Michael Borrill
